The staff were polite and helpful and the hotel is situated fairly near shops, bars etc. and is not too far from the sea. It is good value for money considering its position.
It is in need of decorating and refurbishing and the bathroom and shower are ridiculously small. The television is very small and too high up on the wall.
placed close to the city
Very helpful staff and clean rooms.Relatively quiet area at a reasonable price. Handy to shops and restaurants.
Good value. Good location in the city, about a 30 minute walk to the beach. Inexpensive Internet PC in the lobby.
The room was very tiny. There was no electrical outlet to plug in a computer.
We had a very big room with a balcony, the people at reception were very helpful and it is not too far to walk into the centre (about 10 minutes). The room was air-conditioned and the breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was fine. If you have your own laptop, the WIFI connection is free to use. Overall very good value for money indeed!!
Don't look too closely at the cleanliness!
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Goya during a low budget holiday to Alicante and found it very good value for money. The hotel is near the tram from where you can easily reach the main beaches in Alicante. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to the sea front, but the walk is quite nice and goes through the shopping area of Alicante. The square where the tram leaves from (Luceros) has lots of cafes where you can have a cheap breakfast, or a nice cold glass of beer + tapas in the evening. The hotel staff is helpful and speak English. Our room was small, but clean and had air-con and a ceiling fan.
The bathroom was small, which was not a huge problem for us, but we doubt whether a person with a few extra kilos would be able to squash in the tiny toilet area. We only had one incident of loud neighbours who woke us up with their noise in the middle of the night, but I guess this could happen in any hotel. One small inconvenience for my wife was that there was no hair-drier in the room. All in all, it is a good basic hotel in a convenient location and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a low-cost but decent place to stay in Alicante.
The hotel is situated in quite location. It is about 20 minutes from beach. Good value for the price.
The room air-condition was turned off sometimes, but if we asked they immidietly turned it again imidietly. In my opinion, the hotel isn't sufficient for all-day stay.
Great value, good location
Noisy, small room, not very clean
Polite staff, small nice restaurant on the first floor. This hotel is actually for people looking for budget accommodation. You get what you pay for.The location is not the best, but niether the worst. It is 20 minutes walking to city historic center and 15 minutes walking to city comercial center.
Tha room is too small, it was cold in the bathroom, the centrel heating system was poor. It is old hotel, needs repair works. The walls are too thin, you can hear everything happening in the next room. For budget travellers is will be OK.
The location was the best... close to the bus stop for the airport and to the city centre
That it costs 4 euros for an hour to use the internet which is only situated in the foyer of the hotel........ they should have wi-fi....keep up with other hotels that supply this
The hotel staff was very polite and helpfull. Jesus, Jesus J and Juan: thank you !
Extremely noisy hotel, but ear plugs can fix this problem during the night.
Close to city centre and only a 10 minute walk from the Harbour and beach. Friendly staff and very welcoming.
The balcony in room 114 seemed a little unsafe in that it slanted towards the roadside and appeared to be coming away from the wall.
Good possibility to park for free in the vicinity
Very kind and helpful staff, speaks fluently English. Easy to find hotel from the train station. Nice location in the city center, about 20 minutes of lazy walk to beach.
Small rooms with poor view, mostly into next room window. Bathroom is also small. Room locks looks bit "break-up-in-next-moment".
Rates, location is ok (central), some staff spoke English but not everyone.
We were looking for a central hotel just to sleep and have breakfast, but the beds were very uncomfortable and breakfast was poor. We won't book this hotel next time in Alicante.
